ABOUT ME
I am a wildlife photographer living in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
The species I capture while out with my camera—from birds to bears to whales—brings to me a sense of joy and connection with this unique natural world.
I am happiest when I'm out with my camera, and my dog, of course!

My Favourite Equipment
FUJIFILM X-H2 - A high-end 40 MP APS-C (crop sensor) mirrorless camera for stills or 8K video. It also has image stabilization up to 7 stops for those moments when things are exciting!
FUJIFILM X-H2S - This is Fujifilm's most capable video/stills hybrid. it hosts a 26 MP mirrorless camera with a Stacked CMOS sensor. This camera tracks, shoots and records really fast, its so much fun!
FUJIFILM 150-600 mm F8 - I use this lens for those brighter days where there is a lot of light. Sometimes though, there can be just too much light.
FUJIFIM 500 mm F5.6 - For less bright days or early evenings, I like this lens! It is incredibly sharp and can handle some dimmer light conditions.
FUJIFILM 200 mm F2.8 - This is a beast to carry but for the later evenings watching bears by the river, this is my favourite lens by far. Also incredibly sharp, I photographed my hummingbirds with this lens. (pictured below)
My Favourite Locations
City Parks have so much diversity that its easy (not always that easy...) to find or at the very least, hear.
The rivers, lakes and estuaries hold and even more diverse species. Hatchling time is FULL of cuteness.
The Ocean of course is another amazing location to photograph whales, river otters, shore birds, eagles and so much more.
